My Responsibilities:
Lead planning, execution, and delivery of capital construction and renovation projects across supportive housing and community facilities.
Manage project schedules, budgets, scopes, and all construction-related documentation.
Oversee general contractors and subcontractors on-site to ensure work meets design, quality, and safety standards.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and city officials to align with building codes, heritage requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
Handle procurement and installation of building finishes including flooring, millwork, painting, fixtures, and washroom upgrades.
Ensure all interiors meet accessibility (AODA), durability, and functionality standards for community use.
Liaise with internal Dixon Hall departments (housing, health, seniors, food security) to ensure construction supports operational needs.
Conduct site inspections, resolve conflicts, and issue approvals for submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
Track expenditures, manage funding allocations, and contribute to reporting for City of Toronto, Ontario Trillium Foundation, and other funders.
Support tenant coordination, phased occupancy planning, and smooth project close-out with operations teams.

As the Project Manager representing Dixon Hall, I oversaw the building finishes portion of the renovation and adaptive reuse of 58 Sumach Street—a 90-year-old heritage facility transformed into a multi-functional community hub and commercial kitchen. My responsibilities included managing the selection, coordination, and installation of all architectural finishes such as flooring, millwork, paint, wall protection, washroom upgrades, and fixture integration. Working closely with the design team, contractors, and Dixon Hall’s internal service teams, I ensured all finishes aligned with accessibility, durability, and community-use requirements. This project supports food security, employment training, and wraparound services, and reflects Dixon Hall’s commitment to delivering inclusive, welcoming, and high-functioning spaces for vulnerable communities.
